Systems Certified To Eliminate All Virus-Sized Airborne Contaminants including H1N1, SARS and Avian Flu
SINGAPORE, 13 July 2010 – IEQ Global today announced that Parkway Holdings Limited’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital is the first hospital in Singapore to deploy its HealthWay™ EMF Air Purification Systems after successful testing in its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for elimination of small airborne particle matter and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
The HealthWay EMF Air Purification Systems have been tested by the National Indoor Environmental Quality Research & Innovation (NIEQRI) in the U.S. to achieve 99.99% efficiency in the elimination of all virus-sized airborne contaminants. In other words, the Air Purification Systems are certified to eliminate all virus-sized airborne contaminants including H1N1, SARS and Avian Flu by breaking down the molecular structures of virus molecules to render them inert, thereby destroying the virus completely.
Before deploying the systems, IEQ Global did a comprehensive test for Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Mr Sim Tian Seng, Parkway’s Chief Infection Control Officer, said: “The test results of the comprehensive air purification trial and demonstration for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) proved that the EMF air purification systems are able to improve the indoor air quality by significantly reducing small airborne particles and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC). The systems are able to trap and kill airborne organisms which are most beneficial to our patients and staff working in the ICU setting”.
