Following frequent lamp replacements and facing high operating costs in the face of rising electrical tariffs, this plant took the initiative in 2009 to adopt the use of energy efficient industrial lighting for the plant areas and offices.  The illumination levels have been improved, while heat load and electricity consumption has been reduced.  The energy efficient lamps also resulted in reduced frequency of re-lamping, and reduced maintenance cost.
