Set in the iconic skyline of the central business district, this building has a number of offices that operate for long hours, often times into the night. Due to the heat caused by the tropical sun, office spaces have to be air conditioned at all times. When using conventional incandescent or fluorescent lights, the heat load is increased. As a result, utility bills are unnecessarily high for both air-conditioning and lighting. This has been addressed with the adoption of energy efficient lights for office use, which also provide improved lux levels for human productivity.
